Doug Davis

Chief Executive Officer

Doug has 22 years’ experience in technology companies, focusing on sales, marketing and executive management. In December 2001 he founded CoBuilder, Inc., a consulting firm dedicated to helping companies with sales, marketing and management in North America and Europe. Since 2001, CoBuilder has been fortunate to have had several clients in diverse industries, and has grown to 5 partners in North America and Europe. To that respect, Doug serves as an interim CEO assisting AdVolcano with general business strategy and management.

From 2000-2001, Doug was Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President Sales and Marketing North America, for Vertex Interactive, Inc. (NASDAQ NMS:VETX), a leader in Supply Chain software systems. He was responsible for managing operations in North America and coordinating with the European Group to help grow products, services and revenues to become the no. 6 Supply Chain company out of 300.

Before joining Vertex, Doug was President and CEO of Tape Laboratories, Inc., a mass storage software and systems company. Doug was responsible for the focus and direction of the company, and had responsibility for developing and implementing new channel and growth strategies. TapeLabs grew 300% during Doug’s 2½ years there.

From 1988-1997, Doug held a number of senior level positions, culminating in Vice President, North American Sales, for the Peak Technologies Group, Inc. He was responsible for 100+ sales reps and a $150 million revenue division of the company. At Peak, Doug managed and grew sales, created technology partnerships, introduced new products, designed specialized sales forces, and helped design the sales and support direction for the company, including coordination with and support of the $75 million European Group.

From 1982 through 1988, Doug held several sales and marketing management positions in technology companies, including in 1987 co-founding Aquidneck Systems International, a company that manufactures and distributes optical storage interfaces and subsystems. 

Doug graduated from Stanford University with an AB degree in Political Science and holds an MBA in Finance from UCLA’s Andersen Graduate School of Management. He spent 15 years growing up in Europe, and speaks French fluently, with some German and Spanish as well.

Eric Shuss

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Shuss has been actively involved in running high-tech companies for over twenty five years. He has owned and managed successful companies from start-up to thriving on-going ventures including I.T. sales and consulting firms, high-tech manufacturers and distributors. He has over 20 years of operations and business management experience with a keen understanding of how technology impacts today’s business.

He has worked in mid-to-large companies in roles of Senior Software Industry Analyst, Managing Consultant, Director of Information Systems, Director of Operations, Vice President and President. His in-depth knowledge of Enterprise software and business processes allows him to look at the big picture and understand that the technology is not the answer, but enabling people to access and benefit from the technology is the key to success.

John Purdie

Chief Technical Officer

John Purdie serves as the CTO and lead engineer of AdVolcano. John brings several year of programming and IT experience to AdVolcano and is primarily responsible for overseeing existing technologies and the implementation of new features of the AdVolcano systems. John holds an AS from SBCC in Multimedia, and a BFA from the San Francisco Academy of Art in New Media.

Jim McClure

Director, Application Design

Jim started in his career in Internet Marketing at Web Ignite Co. where he helped founder Brian Coryat in designing the original website for ValueClick.com.

Jim went on to become the lead Application Designer for the International Sports Sciences Association where he led the automation of the company’s call center and developed the lead distribution system. Jim has helped in the development of many startups and provides creative solutions to AdVolcano's product development and infrastructure design.
